Receive The Holy Spirit

In addition to being born of the Spirit, God has made available His grace gift of being filled or baptized with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is absolutely crucial in the life of a believer. The Holy Spirit is the great Enabler in the Christian life; He is your power source, and He makes successful Christian living possible.

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened… If ye…know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Luke 11:10,13

Everything we receive from God we receive by faith. This means all you have to do is ask, and believe you receive:

Heavenly Father, I pray believing I receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Father, I desire to be filled with Your Spirit and I believe I receive it now. In Jesus’ name, amen.

It is that simple! If you believe you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you are now filled with His Spirit and endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). Some syllables from a language you do not recognize might begin to flow up from your heart out of your mouth (see 1 Corinthians 14:14). As you speak them out loud, you are beginning to pray in your heavenly prayer language, releasing God’s power from within you, and you are building yourself up in your spirit (1 Corinthians 14:4).

It does not matter whether or not you felt anything when you prayed. When you believe God’s promises from His Word, you can be sure you receive regardless of whether or not you can feel it right then and there. “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24)

Please reach out to us and let us know if you have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit or if you have more questions regarding it. We would be delighted to pray with you and to get some more resources into your hands that will help you understand things more fully. It is our prayer that, as a child of God, you would receive the fullness of what Jesus through his finished work on the cross has made available to you. Being filled with His Spirit is a major part of that!
